WHERE DO I PARK WHEN VISITING THE STORE?

You can park anywhere on the street that is vacant. Please do not park in our driveway or obstruct the driveway as we share with others.

HOW DO I CHANGE MY APPOINTMENT TO ANOTHER DAY/TIME?

If you wish to cancel/change your appointment before our 24 hour cut-off, you can do this by going to your confimation or reminder email, clicking on the Change/Cancel Appointment button, and choosing your new day/time that is available.
Please note you will need to complete this action before the cut-off time as it will not allow you to do so within the 24 hours before your appointment.

HOW LONG IS THE HIRING PERIOD?

You can choose a 4 Day Rental or 8 Day Rental. The hire period is minimum 4 days and a maximum of 8 days. If you need to book your dress for 5-7 days, you will be charged the 8 day rental fee.

CAN I PUT A DRESS ON HOLD WITHOUT PAYING?

We do not hold garments for any date without payment of the hire fee; the only way to secure the dress for your date is by paying the hire fee in-store or booking your garment online.

WHY IS THERE A BOND?

For every garment there is a bond to be paid at the checkout online or in-store at time of pick-up to ensure the dress is taken care of by the client. This is refundable once the garment is returned to 808 Threads in an acceptable condition and will take 1 week to appear back into your account.

HOW DO I FIND YOUR STORE ADDRESS?

After making a try-on booking via the booking page, you will receive confirmation email with our full address and phone number.

CAN I TAKE THE GARMENT INTERSTATE/OVERSEAS?

Yes, as long as you are able to return the garment to 808 Threads within the booked hire period, we are happy for you to travel with your garment. Please advise if you are taking the garment overseas when booking your garment in-store, or online via the contact form.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL OR SWAP MY HIRE?

808 THREADS does not offer refunds on any pre-booked garments due to change of mind. We will offer a store credit for the value of the hire fee paid valid for six months after initial hire. The RENTER will receive their bond back and postage if applicable if paid in advance for change of mind. 

Garments may be swapped with 1 weeks' notice and only if your new chosen garment is available for hire on your preferred date. If the new garment is of higher value the difference in fee must be paid, if it is of lesser value the difference will not be refunded.1 swap per booking.

CAN I BRING A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER WITH ME TO MY APPOINTMENT?

Most definitely  we encourage you to bring whomever you like to help make your garment decision, however our try-on room is only big enough for 1-2 people to accompany you maximum. If your guests also want to try on garments you will need to book an extra appointment as the 30 minute block is only enough for 1 person.

DO I NEED TO WASH OR DRY CLEAN MY GARMENT?

Not at all – we take care of the laundering for you. All dry-cleaning costs are included in the hire fee. See our T&Cs for more information.

WHAT IF I CHANGE MY MIND AFTER PICK-UP/DELIVERY?

We do not offer exchanges or refunds for change of mind after the dress has been picked up or shipped as the hire is deemed successful once this process is complete – unless the dress is faulty. If your dress is faulty and it is before you have put it on for your event please go to the Contact Us page immediately to resolve the issue.

WHAT IF I RETURN THE GARMENT LATE?

Late fees will apply if the garment isn't returned to 808 threads via the arranged method of return (drop-off or shipping). A deduction of $15 will come out of your bond per day late. If the deductions exceed your bond amount, you are required to pay the fee for every day late to 808 THREADS. See T&Cs.

HOW DO I CONFIRM MY APPOINTMENT?

You will be sent a reminder email 30 hours before your appointment, if you do not cancel/change your appointment we will assume your booking is confirmed.

If you cancel within 24hrs prior to your booking the fee will not be refunded. You must contact 808 threads to cancel your appointment under 24hrs notice - it is crucial that you contact us if you are not attending your appointment.

WHY IS MY SHIPPING/BOND FEE DIFFERENT FROM LAST TIME I BOOKED ONLINE?

Shipping fees are dependant on the RRP of the garment and/or duration of your hire, so the garment you may have hired last time would have been for a shorter period of time or of lesser RRP than the garment you have chosen this time.

Shipping is a $30 flat rate which includes Express to your address and a pre-filled Express parcel for your convenience.
